SNMP
module is used to configure the SNMP function of the switch, including three submenus:
SNMP Config, Notification and RMON.
12.1 SNMP Config
The SNMP Config can be implemented on the Global Config, SNMP View, SNMP Group,
SNMP User and SNMP Community pages.
12.1.1 Global Config
To enable SNMP function, please configure the SNMP function globally on this page.
Choose the menu SNMPSNMP ConfigGlobal Config to load the following page.

The following entries are displayed on this screen:
Global Config
SNMP: Enable/Disable the SNMP function.
Local Engine
Local Engine ID: Specify the switch’s Engine ID for the remote clients. The
Engine ID is a unique alphanumeric string used to identify the
SNMP engine on the switch.
Remote Engine
Remote Engine ID: Specify the Remote Engine ID for switch. The Engine ID is a
unique alphanumeric string used to identify the SNMP engine
on the remote device which receives informs from switch.
Note:
The amount of Engine ID characters must be even.
